Pretty intense color...I like it! Great expression, as well. The hat looks like a cowboy hat, so that's about the only thing that bugged me.

Thanks James. He was just playing around and I took it at the spur of the moment. I plan to do a full pirate costume version after this. The colours are to create that almost unreal, imaginative/ghostly effect. Thanks again.

Great portrait again, Kenrick. Just as in the other, light & skin toes are excellent as is his expression. The hat doesn't bother me - pirates didn't wear T-shirts either and this one works brilliantly with color & logo.

Thanks all for the comments. Gabriel says you won't have to walk the plank after all. Amy using PS CS2 I duplicated the image layer. I increased the saturation of the top layer and adjusted the hues and colour balance. The bottom layer I adjusted the brightness and contrast, sharpened the image quite a bit and used extensive dodging and burning to accentuate the highlights and shadows. I also coloured the white of the eyes with a light blue, airbrushed the corners of the image with a soft large brush in black and then adjusted the transparency level of the top layer to get the effect I was happy with. You can also try different blending modes on the top layer for different effects. Have fun...

BTW: I AM still in Barbados until July 1st. I can't visit Trinidad because I only have a single entry visa, the only way to do it - Visit Barbados and let's go photo hunting !!
