Soft, sunset light graces these striking wildflowers on a hillside

overlooking the sea stacks of Ecola State Park, along Oregon's North

Coast. A very rare opportunity in landscape photography where so many

beautiful elements are in play at the same time.

Wonderful composition with the repetition of that gentle purple in both the wildflowers and the sky. The scene invites me down to the beach. Lovely!

Great soft pastel light in a soothing composition that seems to encapsulate the mood you were trying to capture. I really like the complimentary colors of the flowers and the sky, so much so, that I might even consider a slight crop of the blue part of the upper sky to emphasize that dynamic relationship. The perfect spacing of the incoming swells are uncanny in typical Adamus style.

This shot has Marc Adamus written all over it! Great colours and tones, that really complement the delicate flowers and scene perfectly. Great stuff...but I guess that's nothing new :-)

I enjoy looking at your shot, really fantastic colors and soft light.

Beautiful shot with angles subtly working. Just not dramatic enough. The thrill would in having the blooms really close to force the pastel ocean scene to make a contrasting statement.

I remember a song from when I was in grade school. Simply "He's got the whole world in his hands, he's got the whole wide world in his hands". Your captures reflect your ability to hold the world in your hands for a moment. You have a mojo that all of us envy, the freedom to orchestrate a scene with time, patience and presence of mind, the where-with-all to make sure you are there when it counts and the passion to see it through. I have yet to see a perfect image from you, while I have yet to see someone else come closer to perfection than you. We may as well cease our quest for perfection when we have it in a bottle. I guess I could just say I don't see anything wrong with this picture. I will say it is extraordinary.

the natural colors of this shot are absolutely amazing. what specifically attracts my eye is that the colors of the flowers match the evening sky. this is a beautiful image. it makes me want to visit Oregon. congrats on a wonderful image.

Marc - this is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL shot, and I particularly like the light hitting the rock on the middle/upper left. It's interesting that the colours look very similar to velvia - something I haven't seem much from digital shots. Sorry I don't have anything more constructive to say. Michael
