sarah_newton 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Absolutely beautiful scene. Perfect timing to capture the birds in this position and love the fade out to the spire in the distance. Tones are superb and contribute to the serenity. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 4, 2007 I like this a lot as well, particularly because of the way you've handled the spire, which accents the peacefulness of the scene. That spire makes its mark but doesn't stab the serenity of the main scene. It makes us conscious of a world surrounding this one without allowing that world to intrude upon the loveliness. I love the reflections in the water, the birds, the practically invisible heavenly body barely shining through the haze. I love the light on the shoreline the most. It's subtle, defining, and adds a lot of expressiveness to the scene. The tone is just right. I guess I would ask what you asked me in the u of boulder photo. Why not in color? (I probably would have converted to black and white but maybe am a little surprised you did.) Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted June 5, 2007 This isn't b&w, Fred. The original colors were very subdued & this was all done with Levels. Actually took very little adjustment. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted June 6, 2007 Ahh, I see. I assumed it was a duotone or some kind of toning situation. Looks very nice. Link to comment
