bjcarlton 0 Posted June 2, 2007 A cropped version of an image I posted earlier today. I like this one better. Thoughts? Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted June 8, 2007 Lovely low-key "whole body portrait". I think this crop works better but the increased enlargement makes the rather uneven grain pattern (probably grain aliasing again) more prominent. You could try some selective smoothing as I used on your other desert photo which had a similar problem, but here the grain and limited DoF all contribute to an interesting atmosphere - you could possibly add grain to make it more even.Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 2 Posted June 29, 2007 Good lighting and pose. You might want to get rid of the moles on her breast and leg. I think the grain works well here. Jim Phelps Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 1, 2007 Very fine pose and lighting. Leave the moles. (Or did the gentleman mean take her to the dermatologist?). I'm on a borrowed computer, and don't know if the screen is of a very high caliber, but I do see some noise on the legs particularly. Still and all, a very likeable image. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted July 1, 2007 It really is a lovely shot - one of the nicest intimate portraits I've seen. Congratulations to both of you. I mentioned the option of enhancing the grain pattern that seemed somehow to bring out the mood... Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted July 1, 2007 ... like this.It was done by adding grain to a blurred layer with increased contrast and merging it with a sharpened original. I shall delete the foreground copy in a few days unless you would like it left up for discussion. Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted July 1, 2007 It's at the very least an interesting effect. Do keep it posted; I imagine that I, at least, will want to keep coming back to it. Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted July 1, 2007 My first reaction is we old-timers refer to it as "grain," this image having been taken with film and all. However, looking at the legs, I think there may be some noise or compression issues in the PN version. And, as a matter of fact, she does have an annual date with the dermatologist . . . raymondborg 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Thanks for your time to visit my portfolio and your comment. I really like this photo. The perfect lighting makes this image an artistic nude. Well done. Link to comment
Elstad 3 Posted November 30, 2009 Can't believe I've never commented on this one Barry. A classic nude it is and quite lovely too. -r- Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted December 2, 2009 Thank you! It may be classic in two senses, as it was taken more than a few years ago! Link to comment
