Link to comment
dave.englund 0 Posted June 2, 2007 Wonderful. Wonderful. WONDERFUL! I am really enjoying the human element in this image. And there are two levels of the human element - the pensive adult a the water's edge, and the watchful elder on the bench; quite possibly male archetypes of middle age and old age. The degenerated doc leading to nowhere - is it dreams never fulfilled, now unrecoverable? With a vast ocean of mystery confronting them both, each man wondering what lies ahead of them. But, if each man would see it - a sky filled with hope and wonder. Bright days could still be ahead. [Talk about projection, eh?] Besides the profound emotive element, there is just so much that is right with this image. The composition balanced both horizontally and vertically, the dynamic range of shadows and highlights, the interplay of subdued colors. It would be an honor to have it grace my wall. Did I say I think it's wonderful? :D Link to comment
