We all think our photos are worth more than 3/3 or we wouldn't send them to the post!! Nice photo though, Al

enlarged egos or delusional beliefs that out photos are worthy of higher ratings than they truly deserve is not the issue this submission addresses. no honest person can deny that the 3/3 idiots don't constantly give these marks regardless of the photograph. we never need to diminish that FACT.

My best congratulations!!! If you take a look on my portfolio you can see how many times I asked to put a comment together with a 3/3, bu nothing, the 3/3 ghosts like to rate anonimous, always. Bravo!

Great idea, and for those who rate 3/3 should be required to put comments in. If all else take the time to provide to the photographer how to make it a better image.

Quote by my good friend Howard Dion, "Rating without comment is prescription without diagnosis which is considered malpractice." BTW I gave you high marks for the concept, visualization and execution! In other words; good rating.

Is there noting we/photo.net can do?? This sucks!! I am sick of 3/3 from people who don't even have any work posted here!!! Sorry, I am just MAD!!

My work is not as good as yours but I have similar feelings about 3/3 without a comment - drives me mad. This is also the reson why I stopped posting photos to photo.net. It just takes away all fun and does not allow to learn something from the others.

greetings

I think it interesting that a wonderful photo with such a unique presentation still got a 3/3 from someone. The left side of the photo is great. dhw

Everybody here seem to agree that 3/3 Idiots are just ... idiots. I've gotten my share of 3/3s without comments but at the same time I had given similar 3/3s as well in the past (stopped doing that some time ago). Sometimes you just can't help it if the picture is under/over exposed, with tilted horizon and with a tree growing out of someone's head, etc. There are just plain bad photographs out there. In order to give that person an honest, in-depth critique to point out all problems you need to spend 20-30 min. Who's got that much time? On the other end of the spectrum, I've seen many 6/6s with a comment: "great!" or "fantastic". As much as I like getting those, they are not much more useful than just 3/3s. They don't explain why someone thinks that that picture was "great". And what do you make out of the situation when the same picture gets a range of ratings from 7/7 to 3/3?

The way I see it that the whole concept of critique forum in Photo.net is perhaps flawed in the current form but I'm not sure what the solution should be. Any thoughts?

so... a 3/3 photo is a 3/3 photo... they should learn from books, tutorials, and other sources about photography and then post it to critique on PN. i rated me self some 3/3 photos (they had nothing to do with the art of photography) but when a 6,50/6,50 photo from 50 votes recives a 3/3 and some 4/4 without a comment, it's lame.

3/3 raters don't explain why! They just rate the photos... When a photo is bad it's ok, but I agree that if a picture rating is higher than 5 you should explain why you think is 3/3. GOOD MESSAGE!

As someone who started into photography recently I don't mind if sombody doesn't think my photo is shall we say not up to par. Sometimes neither do I and that's why I put it on Photo.net where someone with a bit more experiance can point out what I need to do to improve. I've even stated that in my request for critique and have never goten a coment by anyone giving a 3\3. Nor have they given that rating other than anonymously.

I have gotten some very valuable feedback but never from someone who rated a photo 3\3 wlt
