Juliet in pink

Juliet usually tries to avoid being photographed but this shot,captured the morning after a party, is now one of her favorites.

Does this validate it as a portrait?

The National Portrait Gallery has an annual compedition for portaiture, I have not entered that compedition yet. Is interesting to observe though, that in none of the winning portraits you can see a smile! They are all very serious and solemn, as though they are in church...:) For me your capture of Juliet and her smiling qualifies as a real portrait, a moment in time, however casual and it does not need to be pin sharp.
