Tyler, this is great image; wonderful colors and exposure. I agree with Trish, I'd crop the piece of driftwood from the extreme left, that would really make the eye latch onto the two strong vertical elements in the image. I really like the little touch of a reflection of the lighthouse in the surf-strand too. Great job, my friend! Cheers! Chris

Nice combo on this one, Tyler.

I presume that the driftwood means that Folly I. continues to erode on the NE end.

i think this is one of your most artistic pieces combining FG and BG elements that are in contrast to one another. the driftwood is uniquely upright bridging the surf to the sky. the reflection of the sky in the receeding water is beautiful. super balance up and down, left and right. bravo my friend. i love it. Thanks again, JK! I have struggled to find foreground elements to include in my sunrise shots at the beach but I do think this driftwood makes a decent one. The sun rises just to the right of this shot so I stopped on my way out to line up the sun and lighthouse and snapped this. This is probably the only time when I can get this shot since the sun is just about as far north as it gets over the right about now. I've been back 4 more mornings to work on some details and try to get some different compositions/clouds/colors but have had 4 consecutive dud sunrises. I hope to get to this spot several more times over the next week or so before I start orthopaedic trauma (VERY busy) and before the sun heads back too far south, making it impossible to line up the driftwood, lighthouse, and sunrise color. Thanks again for the comments and thoughts!

I think this is one of my favorites from your folder, and I definitely would be hard pressed to pick a favorite! The composition is just right, and the colors and tone are sublime! Congrats on your patience to get just the right shot, it really paid off. Just beautiful!

Regards,

Amanda

I am not into manipulating photographs, however, minor removal of the dark objects in the sand would make this capture even better. My humble opinion. This is a great capture as is. Antoni
