Red Berry

LenMarriott

Canon A540 on Aperture Priority at f8 & 1\15 sec. ISO 80. Exposure compensation of -1 stop to minimize blown highlights. Tripod used & 2 sec. shutter delay in lieu of cable release. 'Vivid' saturation to boost colours. USM and resizing in PS. Best, LM.

Greg, Thanks for the kind words. I spotted the red berry first, then composed around it by placing it close to a third of the way up & in. Thank goodness for the diagonal tree branch too. Taken down by Willow Creek, Midhurst, On. where we photographed that cold Jan. day a couple of years ago. Much more civilized temperatures this time :-) Best, LM.

Len: So beutiful. I believe these two plants are "Wintergreen" with red berry and "Wild Lily of the Valley." If so, we have the same wild flowers growing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Rebekah, Thanks so much for identifying the plant life in this & my most recent posts. This communication has turned into a learning experience for me. Don't you just love this site (when people are kind enough to go that extra mile)? And thanks for responding. It's what drives this site, for me at least. Best, LM.

Len, I like the process of nature that is well seen here, flowering and declining. The cycle of nature. I like the diagonal old tree trunk surrounded with green fresh leaves and the red decorating point.... ;-)) The frame is too big to my taste ,I think it is a too big competition to a beautiful image.

I had difficulties entering your pages, PN became hard to navigate... I recieve too many times that :

"504 Gateway Time-out

The server didn't respond in time. " and many time I loose patience and leave..

Pnina, Yes I think we all had trouble this afternoon on PN. Maybe a glitch. Or maybe because my frame is too big :-) I intend to make my frames a bit more delicate in the future. I love these 'found' nature scenes. Thanks for your views. They are much appreciated. Best, LM.

Your thoughts\critique on this one will be gratefully received. More

info in the 'Details'. Modifying the frame is easy in PS. I will

yeild the point to anyone who objects to it. Best, LM.
