"Eight Seconds On A Pump-Jack..."

I said out loud how funny it would be if my friend Ronnie climb on a

pump-jack and pretended to ride it... next thing I knew, he was up

there doing just that. Ride-em Ronnie!

When I saw this I couldn't help but remember the shot of Slim Pickens riding the nuke down from a B-52 in the 1964 Peter Sellars flick, "Dr. Strangelove"--perhaps the most enjoyable anti-war movie ever made.

 

As pure art, this is really very good--wonderful colors and nice composition. The humor is just icing on the cake. A bit off the top would make the composition just about perfect.
