jeffl7 0 Posted May 24, 2007 I like this one better than its counterpart. The colors seem true. Both are very nice shots, though. I love the light on the glasses. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted May 24, 2007 Very well lit, studio or polarizer...I don't have much experience in lighting! More stuff like this: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6003525 Flat light, usually flash built in, although I have an external which may be bounced. Bad thing when a photographer becomes lazy! But I'm not lazy for he damn Photoshop! Come and see Atanu! PDE Link to comment

samrat 1 Posted May 26, 2007 ...I would like you to tell me how you created the black background. Can you achieve this in PS?Rakeshji has provided you a good review, and since he has a lot of experience in still shots, I think that tells a lot about your effort. I gather that shooting fruit in a glass, or even glass itself is always challenging given the distraction easily caused by reflections. But you have done well here. Congrats. Link to comment
fergi 0 Posted May 26, 2007 I like that you captured the apples without the glare on them. This is simple yet so much more that. I know shooting glass is tough and you did exceedingly well. Fergi Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 26, 2007 Ilike and did enjoy this series but again that green apple i would liked to see it more real in its colors Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 2 Posted May 27, 2007 For me, the change in white balance changes the "mood" of the foto entirely. The foto above gives me the impression of a standard still life. The other foto give me the idea that it is in a bar and it is late at night. Both are good. I am assuming you increased the color saturation, that helps significantly in both fotos. Link to comment
gerhardt 0 Posted May 28, 2007 The use of color is fantastic as are the reflections in the glass. Placing the fruits in the glasses gives this a fresh perspective. The black backdrop keeps things pleasantly simple. Cheers, Gerhardt Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted May 30, 2007 Much, much better than the previous post and a very orginal idea. Since you used wine glasses it might have been better to use red and white grapes instead. Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted May 30, 2007 Great shot....for some reason I feel that some cropping off of the top would improve. But that is probably more a matter of taste than technical "correct-ness". Congrats....LJ Link to comment
exposurebits 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Great capture, Atanu. Surprised to see no highlights or unwanted reflections. Very good product photography. My only suggestion would be remove the noise you have in the black areas all over. It's very simple to do in PS. Just use the burn tool. Great work indeed. Keep it up. Regards! Link to comment
