s-tevec 0 Posted June 3, 2008 It is my view that the effort is being made here to create the illusion of depth of field in this image. As such the rules of optics should apply. Certainly it is not my intention to advocate the blind following of compositonal "rules". What I was offering was an opinion that the wonderful image that Robert has made could be improved by using the rule of thirds as it applies to depth of field. I feel an even stronger image could be made by marrying the surreal art form to the real world through depth of field. Link to comment
