This adult male approached the road we were standing on - and spent several minutes peering at us through the trees on the side of the road. There was absolutely no agression displayed. He seemed curious but wary. These bears had been stuffing themselves with salmon for days - and we had been watching them and photographing them for 2 days. This is a second shot from the same series as another I uploaded earlier. I'd be interested in thoughts comparing the two.

I'd would appreciate any comments - especially any preference as to

which image people prefer - this one or the one of the same bear

resting his head on his paws.

The expression in his face is incredible. Though the other one has something about the bear lying his head on it's paws, this one touches me more.

I would take out some blue, as the nose looks almost purple here.

I spent more than a few years in Alaska as a tour guide taking people to see bears in the bush and I have to say I just adore this photo. Your subject has such a curious human like expression on it's face that we all can relate to.

You captured a great moment!
