home page1 0 Posted May 22, 2007 Hey Pete. No, this is the little 50mm 1.4 lens at the Shedd Aquarium. We went there Sunday and it is the most awesome aquarium and aquatic museum I've ever seen. I was surprised by the possibilities that the fast lens offered in such low light conditions. BTW, great spending time with you and Lisa, as well as our photoshoot. Link to comment
schubi 0 Posted May 22, 2007 Great sharpness and colors! I think a diagonal composition would've worked a little better, but that's just my opinion. Cool picture nevertheless! Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted May 26, 2007 Awesome Ken... Sharpness and detail and smack on, color is there too. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted May 30, 2007 I love the light play & the detail. f1.8 on the 50mm shows such great detail on your Chameleon. Nice choice of lens. The DOF & background blur are also very nice. Super capture:) Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted May 30, 2007 Not wanting a flash, the low light conditions in the aquarium dictated my fastest lens. While the speed of this lens is impressive, at f1.8 the DOF and field of sharpness were significantly contracted, particularly on the left hand edge of the chameleon. PS to the rescue, along with some other issues. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 30, 2007 Hi Ken, nice to see you posting again, it is realy an unusual catch, with very different texture of two natures creation... great light and very nice presented on the shallow DOF. Link to comment
