I like everything on that photo from the composition to the minimal frame - but I think it's overworked - the colors kill the atmosphere in that photo.

The photo does not need the oversaturated look and still being a winner. Course this is just my personal opinion.

I agree with the above comment--too much saturation on the sky. Gives it that "close encounters" look rather than the sun. I love the lone tree being the only thing between the foreground and horizon though. Great image.
