kenrick 0 Posted May 22, 2007 Some great shadows in this one Lannie. I love the distinct shapes and colours on the building. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 22, 2007 Beautiful building first! I like the red/yellw colors encircled by the whites, good timing as the play of shadows and light is very nice and soft. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 22, 2007 Thanks, folks. This house was the home of Joseph Charles Price (1854-1893), the founder of Livingstone College. It is directly across the street from the main part of campus in Salisbury, NC. The founding of an African-American college in the South during that era was a very bold move, and Price died at an early age. --Lannie Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 23, 2007 The shadows turn this period home into a visual puzzle, Nicely done, Lannie. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 25, 2007 Thanks, Maurizio and Jack. This was one of those photos that you don't know that you have until you get back home and start processing the files. This one was quite broad, shot as a documentary, but as I cropped away at it I saw that there was a worthy photo in there after all. My only regret is that I cropped it a bit too tightly. --Lannie Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 24, 2007 Lannie, beautiful light and colours and I like the formal composition. Link to comment
darius.tulbure 0 Posted July 25, 2007 I will rate this photo as an experiment to see what it will happen. My hypothesis is that the 3 blocked ratings will be automatically unblocked. Link to comment
darius.tulbure 0 Posted July 25, 2007 Yep. Theory confirmed. Now you have all the ratings unblocked. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted July 25, 2007 Thank you, Darius. That must be programmed into the system, and that is quite remarkable. --Lannie Link to comment
