fergi 0 Posted May 19, 2007 Very well captured. I like the juxtaposition of the cargo ship versus the sailboat. They almost seem to be on level fields and I worry abou the safety of the sailboat crew. The clouds are stunning and fierce looking. I like the color, apparently taking in the setting sun, and firing right back at us. Just enough water in the foreground to set the shot up for distance. Impressive. fergi Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted May 19, 2007 This is beautiful, Tim, but I also like it as a documentation of a meteorological event: a thunderstorm that has passed beyond its mature state and is starting to collapse, leaving a huge cirrus plume of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere--caught in perfect light. Why am I not worried about the sailboat? At this distance, it is impossible to tell if is really on a collision course with the ship, but the ship appears to be further out to me. Great work, in any case. --Lannie Link to comment

mahen 0 Posted May 19, 2007 Lovely capature Tim. This kind of cloud is prone to produce heavy precipitation....the ship is trying to be away from the downbrust. Great image again with excellent colour and contrast. Regards Mahen Link to comment
