j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted May 24, 2007 Yes, your princess is such a beauty. Beautiful portrait and your 50mm f1.4 Lens make a better bg than your f1.8 lens. Or are they the same? I'm studying very closely with nikon now. I always look at your photos for guide and examples. Thanks for sharing dear friend. :0) Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks Frank. Spencer, the Nikkor 50mm F1.4 is definitely much better then the F1.8 in terms of bokeh. It's very clean and in low light conditions the faster speed with larger F stop provide very good details. Of course you need steady hands but for the Nikon D200 I find that I can push up to ISO400 and still get clean images and low noise. Try using accurate exposure, if it is not significantly underexposed the image will look very good. In the Photodo lens review Nikkor F1.8 at 4.2 rating is slightly ranked higher then the F1.4. In my test I rate both equally good but prefer the 1.4 for low light condition. Link to comment
