No manipulation, just a photo

near perfect DOF. The only thing I don't like about it is the steem leaving the picture out the corner. Good job.

maybe it's just me, but the DOF is what gives me a slight problem. would like to have seen the cluster of "whatever" (fuscia colored) were in sharper focus ...i think the shot would be much improved.

A great capture of colour elements fringing the main subject mass. Can I suggest cropping in a little closer from the left side? If I can't, plese ignore the suggestion.

This is a beautiful flower Dave, & I have not seen it before. I too would prefer more sharpness to fall on the pink clusters.

OK, Cherlyn, John and whomever else may like a sharper bud. I've taken many more photos of this and other near openings. I will post.

My wife, Missi has so many flowers, I only take photos. No way am I going to know the name of what I post.

Beautiful photo. Maybe more than you believe. I did two things. Adjust the curves SLIGHTLY. Then I dodged the highlights and burned the shadows for local contrast. Less than 1 min. PP can make a lot of difference. Keep trucking. You have a good eye.
