JohnMWright 1 Posted May 15, 2007 Very sharp, nice capture. I'd crop to square and eliminate the pink/purple on the right, I think in this case it distracts from the insect. Link to comment
norman edwards 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Lovely sharp image and yes I'd agree with John regarding the cropping Link to comment

danstan 0 Posted May 15, 2007 beautiful Ellen, gorgeous shot. I think sometimes distracting things in a picture can make someone take more time to look at a picture, be it a phot or painting. I like the pink, it makes you look and refocus on the main subject and brings balance. Link to comment
kenrick 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Ellen I agree in that I do like the pink also. I guess in the designer's eye these 'distractions' add to the informality of the composition. It creates the 'imbalance' that makes it appealing. Good macro work as always. Link to comment
atanu_ghosh1 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Good shot...but would still like a tighter crop... Link to comment

eye of the lens 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Ellen this is fantastic. I just received the canon macro lens you used for this shot . It was a mother's day present. I am very excited to use it. Maybe one day I'll be able to take pictures like yours. So beautiful!! You are an inspiration. Link to comment
