an interesting find. The shabbiness of the scene is oozing from every pixel. The compositon is very good. There seems to be a triangular space formed by the truck and the skewed wall, which is nice. The open hood is a nice touch. The colours are nice, too. I wouldn't be surprised if hefty wooden beams were supporting the wall from the other side. What more could such a scene use to enhance it? How about

a dog lazily lying on the ground in front of the door? Cheers, Micheal

Yeah, you are right. It would be really good to have some mean looking junkyard dog guarding the door. But I took what I got.

Your style continues to evolve. This is a great shot with wonderful composition and color that is far more than a pictorial representation. "Amigo Row" adds just the right whimsical touch.

So that?s pretty interesting?I was just thinking how much I?ve noticed growth in your work and there?s Jack?s comment. I really have enjoyed watching it all unfold. A fine, well composed image graphically bold and pleasantly plane. Love it.

nicely composed...I like the simple color palette (you knew already)...the shadow gives weight to the car area and also point to the "amigo" sign...

David, I think this is a very interesting composition in great color and light. I like the way you introduced that pick up truck in the frame (that choppy crop on the rear) and the space you devoted to the warehouse. Best regards, Laurent.

Thanks for taking a look. Laurent, I'm not sure if you were going through a kind of burnout on Pnet or not, but if you felt the pressure of responding to so many people because they commented on your images, I want you to know that I do not take offense if you do not have the time to do that. You need not feel an obligation to spend time doing that. I'll enjoy your work no matter what, and I'm just glad to have the opportunity to watch and learn. No pressure my friend. Cheers

This one's drawn my attention from your portfolio and now held it for several minutes. The minimalism appeals to me -- the restriction of color, both in quantity and intensity -- the very simple lines and color blocks, the truck and its open hood casting shadow, the sign and locked door. I want to say, "I like it more than I should," but given how much time I've spent with it, I guess I'll just say, "I like it very much."
