beepy 0 Posted May 12, 2007 Another take on the jewelry. I'm torn about the glasses. The overall picture is more interesting with them on - but as a jewelry fashion shot maybe it looks like I am selling glasses. Link to comment
ingridroose 0 Posted May 12, 2007 Well, I have always preferd to be honest. Like in any case trying ro sell something - both, the object itself and its presentating ambient must have a delicious and fascinating appearance. In your case jewerly - it could be even beautiful, the same for the woman - but those 2 things together dont give their max. The model hasn't been maked up well enough to give a satinated look to the skin. and in my opinion its something you absolutely must have making a photo like this one. Regards, Inge Link to comment
aeaster 0 Posted May 13, 2007 Who cares Beepster? As a great fan of your work I will always be delighted and accept whatever you show us -- glasses or no glasses. As the artist, it is your call. As the very appreciative admirer, it is up to the viewer to interpret your vision. There is only one Beepster! Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted May 13, 2007 My vote is to lose the glasses. I agree that it looks like something you'd see in the optician's office, where the point is to convince you that you can look great wearing them, even if all the kids called you four-eyes when you were growing up. On the other hand, if this is a portrait, then the glasses are part of the model's general appearance, but given an accent by the unusual jewelry. In that case you would want to keep them. In any event, I'd think you would want to do something about the green reflection in the right lens (camera left). Link to comment
