creative effect. Let me know what you think.

I agree... nice shot. What lens did you use, and what was your f-stop?

Nice shot, Allison. I might prefer just a little more DOF, but the smoothly blurred background does look really nice here. Good work.

The lens is a sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG macro. I shot it wide open, at 2.8.

 

If you're in the market for a macro, I highly recommend it, as I've been thoroughly pleased with its performance, durability, and sharpness.
