I find this photo to be striking and compelling, it amazes me that this beautiful woman has a dying soul that reflects her place in an uncaring, spiritually desolate world. Furthermore, I find it amazing that most of us who stopped to see your work have not asked how is she, what is wrong with her, It seems to me that her malnourished body indicates something is very wrong with her. But it seems that in this ever spiritually anorexic world, it is very important to praise the "art" over what it shows us. You have done well in converting human misery into art, in fact you deserve another cum laude for this picture, but the girl deserves at least one: HOW IS SHE DOING.

 

Could you tell your audience what's become of her?

the photo is ,,endless,, but if this is a not manipulated photo than this girl have not much time left.She will die soon or -and I hope so - she gets the message that life has much more to offer than ,,this,,

 

I wish her all the best and if she wants she could get a free stay and holiday here in Portugal becaurce NO_ONE ,,deserves,, to die like this

Who see faces, don?t see hearts - Is a popular phrase on Portugal... This picture says everything... It's impersonating...

I am curious why is she so malnourished, is it by choice, a disease? And why her face seems ok while her body is so thin? I really would like to know how is she doing?

If her case is extreme anorexia neurosa leads to borderline personality disorder -a very nusty situation - how i know this ? ..15 years ago i photograph for an organisation similar cases i spent 5 days in an institution and i learn a lot .These people they do not need only the specialist but also good decent people near them to help them in every possible way .I wish her quick recovery -Your image is heart breaking -and well taken .....i believe this is an image for critique only .

Very interesting subject. I initially though it is photoshopped and did not understand why it was rated so high. Now I understand. This is a photograph with a purpose. Hope the girl is getting better now.

 

 

I remember a friend in photography class showing me a website with pictures of her on it. She actually passed away 12-22-2006. Very Sad!

I have vey mixed feelings about this picture. First of all I must say that it is a great artistic capture. In the other hand I am wondering if it is some kind of speculation on the human pain or not. I really do not know the answer. You have done well to take the shot but I am still wondering if you have the right to publish it or not. Please help me with your thoughts. Friendly Michael. PS. My heart is bleeding for this young girl. Happy to see that she is doing better. Anoreksis is a terrible deciase. Makes the family feel helpless in every aspect. I too cannot rate this one.

Yes, we all know the poor destiny of this stupid Girl, who was starving to be thin! What a Stupidity!

So, now she is recovering, good for her!

But, really Andrzej what is the point of this Photograph?

She did it to herself, I will not pity her! Never!

 

This is such a man vice! And I am thinking now of all those beautiful Children in Africa starving and dying of hunger, and it is not their fault, but the fault of the whole Planet!

So, who needs a heart to pitty this so much so stupid young girl!

 

I have more heart for those Children in Africa!

 

So, what is the point of this photograph! To show the stupidity of This Girls, wanting to be famous and to have a lot of money!
