I've never seen a Tulip in this stage, and thought it was interesting. Couldn't satisfy myself with the lack of detail in the Red bloom, and resorted to greyscale. Hope you find it interesting as well.

This is really lovely Doug. The sharpness and the wonderful tones and textures are just exquisite. I know I have a weakness for flower shots and just love most of them, but this is nice. I usually like color but the folding petals and the beautiful exposure has won me over. PN won't let me rate this right now, I'll be back. Regards Andrea

...I hate saying B&W looks better than color on stuff, being such a color junkie myself!! But here the textures are wonderful and the lighting is more subtle yet showing more than I think a color one would. Nice delineation also between petal edges and more blurred backgrounds. Excellent shot, Doug.
