tammysphotos 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Oh my, is she ever cute! I love those little toes. Did you use a flash with this, Janis? Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted May 10, 2007 I did Tammy. I used a "fill flash". Talk to me. I actually worked on this instead of snapping here and there. I took her to the University Arboretum and it rained almost the entire time. She loved it and I had a good time, but would have been better if we could have taken more than just a few shots. jautio 0 Posted May 10, 2007 I like the photo - her expression is great and the photo is well-focused. I would like to see a shallower DOF since the background is a bit busy and tends to distract me. I like your use of fill flash; it looks very natural. I think the overcast day allowed you to have nice colour saturation. Great picture :) Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted May 10, 2007 This is fantastic - great light! And it doesn't look "flashy". Gotta love those toes!! Link to comment

dee 14 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Hey Janis This is a fantastic portrait of a little girl. It shows innocence, shyness, and just a hint of "little Devil" behnd that smile... I love the pose, it says so much, right down to the curled toes on the one foot, and the slight tilt of the head. You did a great job with the fill flash, and it looks like you had the settings just right, as it doesn't take over the photo. The background is a tiny bit busy, but it still works for me. If I had to make a suggestion (and this photo doesn't really need any) I might have moved one step closer to her. Great photo Janis. Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted May 11, 2007 A wonderful portrait. Good colours, composition, and lightning. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 11, 2007 Janis-- Seems to accomplish all that a portrait should. Sweet, cute, clear, and I love how the little red flowers pick up the color and idea of the red in her dress. Although posed, she seems genuinely content and happy, and did I say "cute?" --Fred Link to comment
