guillelobera 0 Posted May 9, 2007 The City History Museum of Barcelona has a exhibition called 'Republican spring. Barcelona, 1931-1939'. With sights, smells and sounds it takes us back 75 years in the city history to experience once again the daily lives of Barcelona people during the Second Republic. It helps us appreciate their dreams of equality and freedom, of a just society and a better world, without the bourgeoisie or the Church. Dreams shattered by war, exile and dictatorship. The exhibition is one of the acts to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic being promoted by Barcelona City Council. Be going you to see it and enjoy!. Link to comment
federomero 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Excelente foto y excelente informacion. Link to comment
manuelbayo1 0 Posted May 9, 2007 The image is somehow intriguing for the viewer, because it clearly shows a linkage between the obvious and dominant sctuctures of the foreground and the also obvious but rather less dominant antique sculpture of the background: lines and colors lead the eye from the foreground to the background, but the link is no clear and this is what makes the photo so intriguing. Is it a link between modern and old republiques? between two kinds of beauty?, between old empires and modern dreams? Nice to think about... Link to comment
Link to comment
Un saludo Guillermo Link to comment
Link to comment
