shangla top is about 8000 ft green hill, almost all the time covered

in fog during moonsoon. i took this shot just as the fog began to

engulf the top. comments/ critique/ ratings welcome.

thanx for the feedback. the noise you mentioned is due to extreme low light & fog in the air. i used ISO 400 at a very low shutter speed, hand held. regards!

Dear Umair . . . The background with the tree in fog is quiet good . . . The expressions on the boy's face are also inspiring . . but overall, the picture fails to convey any strong message . . . this is just my opinion, may be i m wrong . . . plz don mind . . . u r a great photographer.

"the picture fails to convey any strong message", this is not true, the expression on the boy face being living the moment at that sort of an environmental WX condition, all alone, do convey very powerful message to the whole people concerned with the safety and care of children all over the world.

I wouldn't say the exposure here is within the unified ratio.

Again, even with that slight blurring effect, all around the boy head, due to the creation of the fogging effect; Still this image is acceptable to me.

Having said so, Personally I never stop my self passing my images through the digital darkroom and or the conversional one.

All of the best

Oh, indeed the picture conveys a message, and how. I guess it's the way we look at images and what they bring to us individually. Whereas the foggy distance makes for a superb background, we don't have the highlights on the subject which may reinforced his expression if the light was stronger. But these are technical matters and have a lesser contribution on the overall impact of a photo. Needless to say, this is a magnificent image once again.
