I think the white matte overpowers it, though. And also tends to mute the colours. Personal taste of course, but see what you think.

Totalmente distintas, yo me centro mas en el detalle y tu en la composicion. Muy original la tuya y el fondo de lujo.

I'm torn about the framing. Doug's version does seem to help the colours pop more. But on the other hand, your white frame version adds a bit of delicacy to the image and I think it serves to highlight the fragility of the subject. So I think you are back to personal choice!

Yes, I like the black frame version because black is a color that usually helps a lot with presentation but have to agree with you on the delicate point on this and that white makes a nice contrast with greens on this macro (I made the version for me on my PC but haven't change the post one because of that)....Thanks Doug! and Thanks a lot dear Jan for your comments, is nice to talk and discuss about our photos here :o)

Personally I like your loaded version better. Not overly contrasted, very natural. As for framing, I'll just choose a thin black border. Not too overpowering & yet can enhance the image's beauty, IMO.
