i like both versions, but there is something about the b/w that i prefer over the color. the rocks seem to have more texture and depth against the colorless sky and the highlights in the water stand out more. there seems to be more positive emptiness as well. very nice seascape. regards, J.K.

It's daring to do a sunrise picture without using colors. In this case it works because the texture of this composition highlights the dramatic mood.
