Wow, thats very cool. Even got a comment from someone behind me asking if "this was real", so well done. I have to ask though, what is that white spot on the left, not a fish is it? I also love how the tail feathers are brushing along the surface of the water. That gives a great illusion of speed to go along with the power of the bird.

Well done Kjartan, very sharp.

Thanks Dan! The white spot is a floating Codfish. We try to atract the eagles with dead fish, and somtimes we are lucky like this. The tail feathers in touch with the water is the detail that makes this picture better than may others:)

I'll have to try that with some of the bald eagles i occasionally see locally.. Think it would work with them as well?

What an exciting image!!! The composition is perfect-true to the visual grid. Exposure is excellent-I like that tail splash as a blur in the image. Leaves a lot of wonderment about the image at maximum impact.

amazing shot, exceptional sharpness and calrity perfect detail and expression of eagle diving for fish, som parts of the head are a tad overexposed but that wouldn't harm this photo in its amazing entity
