dberryhill 3 Posted May 7, 2007 Thanks! I live within 10 minutes of this, so I had seen it often, and I wanted to capture it in the early morning sun. It seems that one of the advantages of shooting close to home is that you can pick your light. When we travel, we have to take what is given. As the photographer David Plowden has written, photography is like straight poker. You play with the hand your dealt, or you fold. Incidentally, I don't know if you're familiar with Plowden's work. His focus is the Midwest and all his stuff is black and white. He has a new book of his work, "A Handful of Dust". His style and approach are much like yours. Link to comment
