There is definitely a time of day to take photos of yellow without

the color getting clipped.

Beauty! The yellow is sparkling.

Have you had any luck with the hummers this year? The ones in my backyard have returned from the South but they are very jittery.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. Still not much light to take good bird photos.

Arthur, here's our hummingbird issues: usually, those that we get in April and still moving north or going into the valley. A few of this group will stay, we start getting our summer residents this month. We usually feed this group for 2 weeks and the restrict the amount so they will move on. Well, my wife has made the mistake of hanging our second feeder, we have somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 hummingbirds (could be more since we are going through 64oz every 3 days).

This group does seem to be on the jittery side, so much maneuvering for position. Usually, there are a couple of sentinels but they keep getting attacked due to the large numbers and don't sit close in very long.

The last issue is the weather, very little sun and when it does come out, it's at the wrong time of day.

Once our flowers start to come out and there are more little bugs flying around, they will calm down. Dave
