marcadamus 1 Posted May 5, 2007 Pastel hues of sunrise compliment a vibrant field of Lupines in Washington's Columbia Hills. Link to comment
caincaptures 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Oh my, if this is ever a nature shot! This is so georgous. The lighting is warm and inviting. From the purple flowers that greet you to the warm colours setting in the sky. I am very drawn to this shot. Very pleasing. Link to comment
shirkwolfe 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Spectacular! The horizon makes me a little dizzy, but it's also interesting and made me linger. Link to comment

morteza.safataj 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Great colors, Do you usually correct perspective when you have to shift your camera a little down when you use super wide angle? Thanks Link to comment
ewert02 0 Posted May 5, 2007 I like how the colors in the sky compliment the colors of the flowers. I love how, in Washington, you can shoot this scene one day, the mountains the next day, and the Pacific Ocean the next day. Great place to be. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted May 5, 2007 Daniel - In Oregon, you can add desert to that list also. Amazing place, the NW. Morteza - In all situations without tilt/shift lens or in-camera correction, there will be barrel distortion along the horizon when the wide angle is tilted too much up or down. Sometimes I correct it, and other times not. It just depends on the horizon. Here, there were rolling hills on the horizon and it did not appear anyway, so I just left it as-is. When working with something like the ocean though, correction is needed even when the distortion is very minor. Link to comment
rekaras 0 Posted May 6, 2007 I don't care what comments others may make on this one. The image is simply spectacular in every respect. I find no flaw in it. The colors, the composition this simple power in the beauty of this landscape is magnificent. You simply continue to find creative and impressive venues to amaze. Your waterfalls recently submitted were also masterful, congrats again and again, rek. Link to comment

will king 0 Posted May 6, 2007 I really don't see that much barrell distortion. This photo reminds me of watching TV in High Def. Has a really POP. I love how the sky compliments the colors of the flowers. If I had to offer any critisms or feedback, I would suggest maybe do some dodging on the left, right below the horizon to lighten it up a bit. Link to comment
dcardoso 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Another beautiful photo Marc. The warm inviting colours are just awesome. Dan Link to comment
cfreemanphotography 0 Posted September 26, 2007 the fact that anyone is able to suggest minor adjustments to you images goes to show you just how much time they study them. Some of the comments I've read point out such minor detail, I cannot help but believe that the person commenting was lost for a very long time in the superhuman perfection of your each and every image. marc_dilley 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Marc, I see scenes like this numerous times all over north central Washinton every spring. They are compelling, with their opulent mix of wildflowers, including the lupines you showcase here. I like this image very much, however my eye is drawn towards that one lone balsamroot like a nail to a magnet. IMO it is a distraction. Link to comment
