tanyatruong 0 Posted May 5, 2007 It seems like we run through Life with different...shoes:o). Thanks for looking. Tanya Link to comment

John Peri 1,029 Posted May 6, 2007 What a paradoxical character .. she swims between extremes, teasing and provoking us .. being sometimes shy, then aggressive, withdrawn and then outwardly provocative ... :-) At heart, she is an artist, pining for acceptance, yet not really worried if her vision is pleasing or not to the viewer. She does want a reaction though, and a photo like this does surely warrants one. I first thought that the young lady's feet were tied to the wall, but it is not the case. We read of running and of passion, but the model is in high heels. Her nudity is her power, and not a sign of weakness as the un-initiated and inexperienced sometimes think. It is interesting that the author has momentarily placed this as her avatar. It means that she attributes to this image symbolic meaning. The subject of this photo is offered, yet unavailable. She alone will decide when those legs come down. Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted May 6, 2007 John covered me but I will ephasize in your model. I must say that I feel confused trying to focus in some area. I cannot and my eyes are turning around. Good work Tanya. Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted May 7, 2007 John, that's quite a bit of analogy. I am flattered of your intellectual analysis. Ah! i don't realize my work has been that paradoxical either. Michael seems to agree with you too. Hmmmm! i wonder why?!!! :o). I am simple and predictable, i think. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted May 7, 2007 You have not surprisingly generated a lot of interest with this series - I think it would be good to display it as a triptych (I wonder what order...). I like the composition and balance in this one best though I prefer the concept of the bare feet one - a victory over consumerism! (but not very practical except on a sandy beach). I hope you can pursue the story with some photos while "running with passion" - I think it's a pity that so few images of the nude body show it in action. It is difficult but a worthwhile challenge for an artist like you with such an eye for what is naturally beautiful and unusual. Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted May 7, 2007 Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I would love to do some nude-in-action in natural settings, but i think i will be in trouble with the law. There are not that many Nude beaches in the States, and they are strick with cameras. Perhaps, when i visit Europe, i can do something like that :o). You are very nice to think my photography is "that popular". I don't think that many photographers know of me or interested in my work on PN. There are so many amazing (nude) photographers whose work are technically excellent and visually much more provoking/stunning than mine. I am already happy to know a few friends like you swinging by to leave comments. Of course, when there is someone who accidentally comes across my work and like it, i would appreciate his/her attention very much too :o) Warm regards, Tanya. Link to comment
