Overall a beautiful shot except that it is slightly overexposed.

I guess you live in Toronto. I have some family members there, too, and so I know the city quite well. Yet, last time I visited I took an open-air bus tour and discovered something new about the city: it looks much nicer at that height.

You are right about the overexposure, in fact this was shoot back in 2007 when i was at the very first step of photography ( not yet on the second step!). Well i can now at least point few other points: overall sharpness is not good at all (i was using a very big aperture on a very cheap lens) , the black spot in the upper left corner is very distracting, and OMG that big black area to the lower right is a disaster, local contrast is rubbish. This image to me is of no special value, but it is a reminder of that cold night when i was doing all what i could to learn, well i think that that effort payed off after all and that why i personally like this photo, but not rally and special artistic value.

And yes i live between two cities, one of them is Toronto, and you are very much right about eye level, actually a few meters up and the city is totally different. And on more thing, the best time to photograph it is in the evening and at night, its its totally different than the boring day life, but street life is good during the day, so overall it provides very good opportunity every now and then. thank you for your interest and comment.
