naman_gupta 0 Posted May 15, 2007 wow the details and crispness of this picture is just breathtaking, amazing shot. Even the lighting is perfect ,is it the natural light or otherwise ? Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted May 15, 2007 The best time to shoot these canyons is actually mid day. The sun bounces light off the walls creating the glow. Link to comment
copeg 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Beauty of a shot. Excellent lighting to bring out those textures. I love the comp with that 'sandbar' at the bottom as it leads my eyes in perfectly and works so well with the rest of the patters, which as well just lead my eyes into this. There seem to be visible textures in the sand that, for better or worse, could be brought out a tad with a bump in contrast or dodging and burning in that area. A minor critique though for a stunning shot. Link to comment
karen habbestad 0 Posted October 2, 2008 Beautiful. So different from many Slot canyon photos. The soft light w/out the hard rays is very appealing, as are the shapes and textures. The shapes are face-like to me (profile-ish). The texture accentuates the sandy environment. Really lovely. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 3, 2008 Incredible image. I feel like I am seeing the bottom of a mysterious canyon, with weird unseen light sources. Wonderful details. This will go in my favorites because it is so compelling and different. Link to comment
