Donna Stavis 0 Posted April 1, 2008 I hear dogs don't generally have good eyesight, but their sense of smell is very developed. You've got that bumpy texture of the nose and the spiky hairs that itch a dog when they're touched and distinctive coloring and then the soft eyes, a nearsighted focus on you. You evoke the senses. Removing color enhances the sense of feel. I've also heard that dogs are color blind. I don't know.... My dog, Sally died, two years ago in May, and I still have a very strong sense of the feel of her nose, the soft look of her soulful eyes. Like this. Very subtle, cleverly-done. I think you took this photograph with loving eyes for her, and her for you. Link to comment
