alex_kew 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Generally I like it, nice bold colours and good use of rule-of-thirds. Only snags are v. slight clipping of spinner (I know I'm guilty of similar with that F-15 nosewheel, so I have no right to complain!!) and the blurred wing in the foreground seems out of place with everything else in sharp focus. But again, generally I like it!! Cheers, Alex Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Thanks Alex. If you really, really, want the tip of the spinner, i can rescan the image with the slide out of the mount... The OOF foreground was intentional, though im not so sure i like it myself. Link to comment
thadley 10 Posted May 5, 2007 I like the composition and the various shades of blue. You could try and make the wing into sharp focus or your could leave it as is because it gives me a sense of another sky. Congrats. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Interesting take, a "second sky". Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted May 7, 2007 I've done a lot of these fuzzy-wing-in-the-foreground shots too and I've never been able to figure out quite how to make them work. Having the wing be sharp sometimes works, but usually only if there is some interesting detail, like a landing light or a painted marking or at least some rivets, on the wing for visual interest. A pic like this -- I don't know. It seems like it OUGHT to work. But I have never been able to solve the riddle of having the fuzzy wing not be just a big distracting patch of color. For me this pic is one of those but I don't know what to suggest. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 7, 2007 I know the feeling. Many pictures in my computer right now where i look at them and just say "why"... Link to comment
