Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2007 I don't know what it is... but... I like it... especially the lamp and it's shadow. Nice capture!!! Link to comment
vallery 0 Posted May 4, 2007 It was surprising that my little old P&S could take a picture of some clarity in the back of a NYC yellow cab. ;~) It's is such a cool building. Thanks for stopping by! vallery Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted May 4, 2007 I agree with Angela. I find this very appealing. I think there is a sense of motion with the building, while the lamp provides a stable anchor. Whatever, I like it. Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Very interesting shot Vallery....I don't know the building, but if you really want to find out, contact PN member Juan Santana, he is real estate agent in NYC and a really cool guy. He would probably luv to tell you about it. Oh, by the way, it is a nice shot. I like the motion detected in the building, but the street lamp seems more focused and sturdy. stembaughphotography 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Great shot! I see if any, vrey little linear distortion! And with a P&S! Proves the point-its not the camera- how the photog uses it! Link to comment
vallery 0 Posted May 6, 2007 I have a point and shoot I don't like but am stuck with (at least there are manual settings!). I am learning how to use it and it is harder than my DSLR. I am surprised at a few shots from it but disappointed in more than 90% of them. It's just a "scout" camera for me. happy shooting! vallery Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 259 Posted June 12, 2007 Long time no see! Why not ratable?! I would have rated it very high although I'm thinking about the pole and street light not belonging to this structure! Yeah, I know you think that they are an important part of the composition! Maybe they are! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted July 3, 2007 this shot has me mesmerized. the solid points like the light post and car suggest no motion, but the distortions of the building must be mostly organic. surreal architecture. ps, i've gotten more shots with my powershot because its with me all the time. regards, J.K.
