I really like the vibrant colors. It's a great idea - I could really see a series of these in different "poses," maybe with a needle? I wondered if there was too much white, so took the liberty of trying a tight crop.

Here it is....

No cropping is necessary. These are some old spools and it is clear to see the dark green has not been used in quite some time. Did you leave the cobweb there by design? I like it.

As a child I got to have my mom's used wooden spools to use for toys. I don't recall any of the games I used to play with them, but I still have a love for them and would not throw one away.

Thank you both! I do like the crop and you've inspired me to try some others. Shawn, I did leave the spider web there and the dust on the orange. I picked these up at a garage sale just because I liked the colors and shapes and found them today in a drawer. Thanks again.
