I have been to many wild life preserves. I have seen glimpses of wolverines in Algonquin Park, but sofar I have only dreamt of a shot like this. They say this animal is pound for pound the most ferocious fighter. This picture is inch for inch perfection in wild life photography....in envy and admiration...Bert

Wow! My first response is to say, "HOW LUCKY!" but who am I to know how much work you went through to capture this scene? I've only been fortunate to see one wolverine in the wild and sat stunned, just watching it. To actually capture one of these elusive creatures on camera and with such precision is something I'll aspire to, and congratulate you!

I'd like to know who the idiots were who gave this 3's and 4's. Great shot of an elusive creature.

Kjartan,

Just to get a clear shot of a wild wolverine is an achievement...what you have is perfection. I only wish I'd seen this sooner. You should be commended on this photograph. Not only did you manage to capture the animal but you really nailed the essence of this most ferocious of north woods predators!

What a shot. What a thrill this must have been to see such a rare animal. It must have taken a lot of patience .How did you know that it was in the area and how did you get such a great shot?

Wow! a fantastic shot of what is considered to be the meanest animal on the planet. I saw a special on the Discovery channel about them and showed one slaughtering a pack of wolves and another scaring a full grown grizzly bear up a tree. One animal I would not want to come face to face with.
