matthijs 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Michael, Although the picture is well crafted and the composition is well balanced I do not feel anything. My reaction to this picture is purely intellectual as opposed to a lot of your other pictures. I cannot exactly put my finger upon the reason. It might be the serenity in her face or the completely gray background or the pose which you never see in real life. However all these three are present in some of your other pictures so I'm not sure. It might be the apparent effortlesness of the pose as opposed to the other pictures in which you can see the tension in the muscles and skin. Tension is probably what I'm missing. Regards, Matthijs.
