Relics: A Man and an Ideology

This photo features two 'relics': this flag which shows the symbolic

hammer and sickle of the former Soviet Union -- Communism's fading

emblem which represented 'the workers' and the man who holds it, a

former Soviet naval officer, whose pension was guaranteed by the

Soviet Union, but who has little remaining purchasing power since the

fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 and huge subsequent inflation. Your
