jmoody 0 Posted April 25, 2007 cool shot! Had to take a double-take, as I'm used to seeing scenes similar to this but with "all" black shawls. Really interesting sequins etc... Would've been a "10" if she'd have been looking into the camera, but I'm not one to talk as I can hardly even get up the courage to take people shots of my own family! :-) Excellent work! Karl Schuler 48 Posted April 26, 2007 Umair, this is an incredible shot. The wrinkled face of the old woman, full of dignity and experience of life, the artful design of the fabric and the subtle details in the blacks. Congratulations. Best regards. Karl Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted April 26, 2007 Umair, very good capture of age, dignity and coyness. The intricate designs on the veil, competes with the wrinkles on her face.Very good exposure and light. Just a suggestion:-Would it not have been better to crop the image above the hole in the veil? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted April 27, 2007 There is no equilibrium of dimensions in composition between the head which is relatively too small comparing it with the body. This face of this aged Lady is extremely well exposed and of unbeatable details along with very well saturated colors and original skin tone. Personally, I have enjoyed viewing this portrait work to the maximum, and I must thank you for sharing this with us. Please my friend do not take my comment here otherwise as I have always been very impressed with what you post here. Wishing you all of the best Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted April 28, 2007 Umair, Composition aside, I'm glad you included so much of that glorious cloth. There is a real sense of her being enveloped. I find her face to be incredibly beautiful--the lines representing a road map to her life. I don't know how to give a rating for originality, here. Your scenes are so different from my day-to-day experience in Boston. For me, each photo is a glimpse into another world and makes mine seem so devoid of color. Exceptional shot. Link to comment
