barros_carla 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Well, personally I find it a bit too dark, yes. But I'm enjoying the Marillion section of your portfolio very much. I have (a modest) set of Marillion pics myself, so feel free to drop by and leave your thoughts: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=717567 Regards, Carla Link to comment
msr 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Yes I tend to agree with that colours are not to bright on this one. I particular like the sense of movement of Pete (the live concert feel) and the light spot behind that I intended to capture to compose the image. BTW, this is taken with the 40-150mmF3.5-4.5 zuiko lenses, 1/80s shutter speed F3.8. My method for the concerts (also with the Olympus) is to set the control to speed mode, where I control the speed (my experiance tells me that from 30 to faster I can get concert images focused but with "poor" light. 30 if they are more still, like the ones of Mr H published so far, and 80 when they are moving. The Olympus then sets F values automatically (as in concerts everything happens so fast). This method results on poor lightned images, so I use the raw mode on saving them to the card that allows me to latter, on the PC, compensate the exposure with the sw Olympus Master inlcuded.
