I saw a dog just like this one in Central Park in NYC this past Sunday and it too had the socks on each leg and that same kurchief around the neck and ears. What gives with that? Is there a reason why thies dogs have to have socks and a head scarf?

This is an Afghan dog. The reason for the garments is that it was on it`s way to an exhibition show and the owner wanted to keep it cleaner. There were many puddles and some mud on the ground, as the snow was just melting. This dog is an international champion from four different countries, but to me he was an interesting model to whom I happened to "bumb". :-)
