Guest Guest Posted April 24, 2007 The most photographed person on photo.net. Why not take it a step further? Link to comment
yinkamd 0 Posted April 24, 2007 Hey Dude, Be kind! I am new to portraiture, and experimenting with different techniques, different lighting styles, hairlights, background lights etc. This lady was kind and patient enough to pose and help me. I have posted so many photos of her (and of me) so that I can get valuable critiques that will help me improve my portraiture. Should I have more light here or there? Should I have a different crop? Fill lights? Backgrounds? PS technique. Those are the kinds of answers I was hoping for. For the most part, unfortunately, I have had low ratings, without any constructive critiques, or comments that are totally non-helpful. I would greatly love constructive critiques, whether favorable or not. I just want to improve. For instance, Bruce, when you talk about "taking it further", what do you mean? Different lighting, different poses, black and white? I would love to hear from you! Thanks and best wishes Yinka Link to comment
jacyntheharel 0 Posted April 25, 2007 I wonder whether it is the subject which is splendid or if it is the man behind the camera which is marvelously good but this photograph is splendid! The light, the reflections, the smile of this injury, all is there! Cheer once again Yinka! Link to comment
