agnieszka_iwasiewicz-wabni 0 Posted May 24, 2007 I really like the way you exposed this photo. It does not loose any of the viewer's attention to unnecessary colors, just bringing out the shapes. As a big fan of clean cuts I am personally slightly disturbed by this whole lot of branches on the right. I tried to cut it a bit the way I would try to frame it myself, to show you what I mean, but it still is not quite right. I would want all of that tree out of the way actually. Anyway, have a look at this other cropping option. What do you think? Link to comment
agnieszka_iwasiewicz-wabni 0 Posted May 24, 2007 I had a look at the ratings you got for this shot.... Do people really have to get a one-in-a-billion-just-same-sunset-over-the-sea photo to rate it positively???? I cannot dispute other people's aesthetic tastes but how many shots like that did they see to rate you low on the originality?? Link to comment
hy 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Firstly, thank you very much for these kind words and your efforts to help me. From that angle, it was impossible to extract the branches. But now you got that the way, I actually inteded to capture it. It's correct what you mention about the rating, but I'm not concerned much. I like to discuss a picture, if it's unique to my eyes. Whether others do or not, is up to them. ;) Here's branch-cleaned version. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Thanks for rating my photo. I have been here earlier and looked closely this photo. I must say I prefer those branches, unfortunately some of them a little too unfocused. As it is now, the composition is appealing me as kinda provocative, not too simple and plain as with the bird alone. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted July 21, 2007 Yes I like the branch cleaned version best. The simplicity gives it a fine art feel.Sometimes less detail is best.6/6 for the redone version. Link to comment
