bjcarlton 0 Posted April 23, 2007 Taken in 1985 with Pentax 6x7. Not sure if my back would allow me to lug the camera case that far today. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted April 23, 2007 Like the shot posted earlier, her body seems to harmonise with the massive rocks, almost as if they were made just for her to be standing there. It looks like she must have made quite a climb to get there - she must have been pretty fit too! (even if she didn't have to carry the camera bag, or even any clothes) The fine textures of the rocks using the MF B&W film can be seen even in this small scanned version but as she is in the rather flat-lit shade I wonder if a bit more contrast selectively would bring out her contrasting soft shape more strongly. Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted April 23, 2007 Great idea. I'd been wrestling with how to portray the body. In the original, she was a lot darker; I selected her and lightened her significantly, but still wasn't entirely happy with the result. It didn't occur to me to selectively bump up her contrast, but that really helps. Link to comment
